Harbour House Art Gallery Exhibition!!

Woooo!!!

Hey everyone,

Just another quick little entry for you all with some exciting news I found out a couple days ago!!

After a very successful first open exhibition at sixcarolineplace a few weeks ago, I decided that I needed to venture out some more and try and get some more of my work out there and seen – I decided that I was going to submit some of my work into another art exhibition or gallery! …and I found one that was both, an art exhibition and a gallery in 1!! – this gallery is in Kingsbridge and it’s called Harbour House – they have many exhibitions and this was an art exhibition with the theme ‘Autumnal Changes’ which I decided I was going to enter into. I created and submitted 2 original paintings which I thought fit the theme ‘Autumnal Changes’ – I created 2 pieces which I thought about when I thought of ‘Autumnal Change’ – I chose to focus on Autumn Colours.

A week went by since my submission…

Amazingly enough BOTH of the pieces I submitted got selected to go into the exhibition! Yay! I am so excited! Tomorrow is the preview evening of the exhibition and Wednesday is the first day it opens. Kingsbridge is a lovely coastal town about an hour out from where I live, as a child I often went a visited Kingsbridge as it was always so beautiful and a lovely day out! I am so excited to be apart of this exhibition and have my work shown in a gallery! Wooooohooo! This art exhibition begins on the 17th October and ends on the 28th and it’s open from 10am til 5pm every day!

Get yourselves down there, there are so many talented artists in this exhibition and such incredible work to see from sculpture to paintings, absolutely amazing!

I’m going to the preview evening tomorrow evening and I am over the moon with what I have achieved in the last 4 weeks! Going from being fairly un-confident about showing others my work to actually now loving getting myself and my work out there – it has been an amazing process!

As the exhibition hasn’t opened just yet I cannot share with you the pieces I have submitted into the gallery however I can show you a couple pictures they have shared with me to post!

Enjoy!

sixcarolineplace Open Art Exhibition!!

PLYMOUTH ART WEEKENDER!!

Hey all!

Sorry it’s been a while since I last wrote… again! I’ve been super busy with life and things, you know the drill!

Anyway!

I’ve really been focusing on my artwork lately and have been planning how to go about changing this blog slightly so it’s moreso about art and my other passions. So here’s a quick little post to update you with something a lil’ exciting that happened to me a few weeks ago!

So, with Plymouth’s Art Weekender coming up I decided that I was going to try and get some of my work into the event. I went around to a few different places to see their rules and themes to see if any of my work would fit. I then came across this cool and quirky house called ‘six Caroline place’ which conveniently was just up the road! I went in and had a little chat with the event host’s and decided that I would enter some of my work to be in their open art exhibition! I submitted 2 pieces of my original artwork and waited. After about a week or so, I found out that both of my pieces had got selected to be apart of this cool and quirky exhibition! I was a little nervous as this was the first official time that I had gotten my work out into the world – but I was so excited!

My work got displayed in this wonderful house alongside some other incredible talented local artists work – some being sculptures and some paintings of all mediums – I loved seeing my work up on their walls as well as everybody else! Everybody who took part has so much talent!

What an exciting experience this was! I am so proud of myself for taking this step as for me it’s quite difficult to get my work out there and feel confident enough to show others – I got so much amazing feedback and comments throughout this whole weekend and I am so happy that I took part in it! I would definitely do it again!

The 2 pieces that I chose to be apart of this exhibition were ‘Turquoise Bay’ and ‘Ocean City’ – which both are still currently up for sale! Check out my Instagram page for more information! This pieces will also be up and running on my Etsy page very soon! So keep your eyes pealed!

Here are a few pictures I had taken and others have sent in of my work on display in the art exhibition!!  I hope you like them! (Pictures below)

Hey guys!!

So… I’ve posted my latest painting up on my social media feel free to check it out on those pages (Instagram/ Facebook)! – Click the links attached.

This little beauty is called ‘Violet Fusion’ and is also up on my Etsy Shop if you’re interested in purchasing – even if you just take a quick second to have a look at my pages that would mean the world to me.

As an artist it is a bit doomy sometimes and a bit lonely – you feel like you’re not appreciated for your work and your time and effort is wasted (I feel like I’ll write a post about this soon as it’s something I am very passionate about). So any feedback / comments I get I really take onboard and appreciate!

Anyways like I said this little beauty is up on my Etsy shop but do feel free to contact me on here or on any of my other social media’s with any questions you may have. I also may be able to give you discount! ❤

I often ask people what they think of my paintings  make them feel, or what they think it should be called and actually this time I chose a previous customers suggestion as the name title which is ‘Violet Fusion’. I had already said I wanted it to be something Violet.. but after reading through your suggestions that name really stood out to me!

Anyways, this is just a quick little entry and letting you guys have a sneak peak at this beautiful painting! Hope you like it! Stay tuned!

I’m back! And there’s gunna be a few changes around here!

Hello my lovelies,

Guess who’s back… after what feels like a lifetime!

I’m so sorry I’ve been leaving you all in the dark but I’ve been stuck in a little bit of a ruckus where I didn’t know if blogging was for me anymore. I’ve felt like this before but I was always able to lift myself back up and get back on track! We all get like it I know, but this time I let it take over. With life getting too heavy and having to work it all seems so difficult to keep on top of my posts and blogging every week and it was making me feel miserable. I didn’t want to post any half hearted posts and let all of you down so I just took some time for myself and didn’t bother at all. I focused on myself and well being.

HANG ON A MINUTE…

This isn’t goodbye!! I was hmming and ahhing about closing down my page entirely but I’ve decided after a few months that, that isn’t what I want to do. I’ve met so many lovely people and to loose all of you would be such a shame, so I’ve decided to stay.

HOWEVER, I will be having a major revamp of my page. Not to worry it won’t be too drastic and I won’t spring it on all of you all of a sudden but I will gradually be changing it over time to fit me better.

CHANGES – There will be some changes around here, I will still be writing the odd beauty post but that won’t be my main area topic anymore – my heart just isn’t in it 24/7 anymore. I will be trying to add in more of my creative side, including my artwork and my acting career as well as general life and lifestyle. I will try and keep my content as interesting as I possibly can and I do hope that you decide to stick around in the long run and follow me on my journey.

I think this revamp will be good for me, it’ll give me a chance for a fresh start and I’ll start to feel like myself again instead of feeling like I’m writing a post because I need to (it’s a chore) –  and actually want to write about it. I have a lot of passion towards the arts, artwork, painting, acting anything creative really, I love it.

I do really hope you guys follow me on this blog as it is still me, I’m just trying to find myself again.

In the meantime please feel free to check out my artwork on social media!!
